Legal & Compliance Officer

Dorado Cares takes its responsibilities as a public charity with the utmost seriousness and is committed to operating at all times with integrity, transparency, accountability, and full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, governing documents, and public charity obligations. We expect every director, officer, employee, and volunteer associated with the organization to act as responsible stewards of charitable resources and to uphold the highest standards of honesty, efficiency, and ethical conduct. To reinforce this commitment, Dorado Cares has appointed a Legal and Compliance Officer who maintains a direct and confidential reporting line to the Board of Directors and is empowered to report any suspected impropriety, misconduct, conflicts of interest, financial irregularities, or non-compliance with bylaws, policies, operating agreements, or applicable nonprofit standards. In addition, Dorado Cares maintains a Compliance Committee, chaired by the Legal and Compliance Officer, to oversee governance practices, review internal controls, promote continuous improvement, and help ensure the organization consistently fulfills both the letter and spirit of its public trust.
